Genesis 12:1-3 "The Lord had said to Abram, "Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you. 'I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.'"   Unpopular opinion: I actually like driving on the freeway. Some of you are now thinking "lol wait until you drive in LA 5 o'clock traffic" jokes on you because I have and it's really not a big deal. So yes, I enjoy driving on the freeway buuuut I HATE when other people drive me. I get like mini anxiety attacks when someone else is driving the car on the freeway. I like being the one in control. I like taking the wheel and knowing where I'm going. It's a control thing. I like being in control. That was a struggle of mine when I moved to LA. I definitely was

#goals

Who is your #goals? By that I mean, who do you look up to? Who do you take inspiration from? My #goals happen to be the second coolest mom (my mom will always be the coolest #sorrynotsorry), most fashion forward woman, greatest makeup artist out there, and the person who has taken me under her wing and given me a place to live. From the picture above you can already tell I take fashion inspiration from her, although her fashion is MUCH cuter. (side note* my hair matches her shoes)   Not only do I look to her for help in the fashion world but I also look to her for help with life in general. In our Christian walks it is very important that we have someone to guide and shape us. Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." How important it is to have someone speak truth in your life in a world that is constantly speaking lies!     Who should be your mentor? Having a good set of Christian friends in your life is important but you should not lean on

Sunday funday¿?

I want to start of this post with a huge "congratulations" to my home church, The Gathering LA, for celebrating two years this past Sunday. So CONGRATULATIONS. This church is amazing. All different types of people gather every week for all one thing: to be fed. Yes they did "pancakes and handshakes" and had tacos but they aren't coming for that type of feeding. Although I'm sure some would argue differently. (Pastor Alberto Bello preaching at the night gathering on 1-10-16)     But let's talk about church. I feel that, we as Christians, have gotten to a point where we have decided church isn't necessary. Maybe it's the idea that going to church doesn't make you a Christian so NOT going doesn't make you not a Christian. Or maybe you work, want to sleep in, or the church has hurt you in some way, or some other reason. Here's the deal. Church is very important to our walks as Christians. Get rid of the excuses. They aren't allowed.

Delayed obedience is disobedience

Today I'm going to share about a topic that most Christians shy away from... T i t h i n g . First let's shed the mindset of "all Christians want is our money". That is such an unhealthy thought that you need to get rid of right now. Is it gone? No? Okay get rid of it. Is it gone now? Okay good lets move on.     I believe in the Word and in the Word, God calls us to give ten percent of our income. Don't believe me? Need proof? Okay well here you go:         "One-tenth of the produce of the land, whether grains from the fields or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord and must be set apart to him as holy." Leviticus 27:30          "You must present one-tenth of the tithe received from the Israelites as a sacred offering to the Lord. This is the Lord's sacred portion, and you must present it to Aaron the priest. Be sure to give to the Lord the best portions of the gifts given to you." Numbers 18:28-29        " Honor the Lo
